MultiMode Laser diodeS
We offer our multimode laser diodes in a variety of packages optimized for cw- or pulsed mode operation. Its compact single emitter configuration allows the use of standard TO- or C-Mount housings for easy integration in the customers environment.
Multimode laser diodes operate multimode spatially and longitudinally. Based on GaAs wafer substrates we address a wavelengths range between 653 nm and 1064 nm. Stripe widths from 60 µm to 400 µm are available to optimize the beam shape and output power for the particular application. The achievable output power in cw operational mode vary from 1W to 18W depending on the wavelengths and chip design. The CDL* package comprises the fast and slow axis collimation optics, properly mounted on a suitable heatsink.

The miniFlatpack housing offers basically both options, the integration of the laser chip only or the additional integration of beam shaping elements like FAC** and SAC***. It is a hermetically sealed package variant specifically designed for the use in hi-rel applications accompanied by small form factor requirements.
In pulse mode operation the laser diodes reach optical peak power levels up to 100 W. They can handle pulse widths as short as a few ns, whereas with 10’s of µs pulses, duty cycles of 50% and more can be realized.
Upon request we can also offer customized product variants where two laser chips are integrated within one TO-package. This enables power scaling or usability of two wavelengths in one compact package.
